WhiskerWatch started with a scare that most pet parents know too well.

I take my dog everywhere. Car rides, new trails, weekend camping trips. Having him along isn't a bonus, it's the whole point of the adventure.

Then he injured his back leg, and everything changed. We were making constant vet trips, and he was stuck in a cone and bandages. No matter what I tried, he kept working them loose during car rides and making the injury worse. I'd drive tense the entire way, wondering what was happening in the back seat. I couldn't safely turn around to look, but I hated not being able to check on him when he needed me most.

That's when it hit me. There was no easy, safe way to keep an eye on my dog while driving.
